“Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.” – Emily Brontë
Bliss is exactly what I feel every year when autumn rolls around. It’s not that I dislike the summer months. They were great when I was a kid. No school or homework. Spending the day with friends riding bikes or roller skating until dusk. Family vacations. All good things. But summers lose their charm for working adults, at least they did for me. I’ve always found magic in the sights, sounds, and smells of fall, especially in Ohio where I grew up. Trees awash in varying shades of red, yellow, and orange. Leaves crunching under foot. Wood smoke emanating from chimneys. Running through huge leaf piles, picking apples, hayrides, and of course, treat or treating, were pure joy in my youth. Here are some of my favorite fall images taken over the years. Enjoy!

I’ll be taking a short break from posting but will return in early 2023 with some epic travel adventures!
